The people weren’t angry
She noticed that something was odd as she watched Steven and the bears. The bears didn’t seem to be angry. She assumed they were dangerous but they hadn’t attacked Steven once since they got out of the cavern, nor had they been growling.
After she looked at Steven closely, she realized that he didn’t seem to be scared at all. She thought she’d missed something…
