I felt surreal
She felt her heart pound as she watched Steve approach the cave slowly. She saw that Steve was still holding the bag and flashlight. Of course, this is what he needed the lamp for… but she couldn’t tell what was in the bag.
She expected him to turn and look at her any minute, yelling “Just kidding! Gotcha!” but, of course, it never happened.
