Very Nervous
Jessica managed to grab her binoculars as she was leaving. She could then keep a close eye on Steven, while still being able to stay a distance behind him. She was nervous, because she did not know what she’d find out and what her relationship would be like when her husband discovered that she had followed Steven here.
He was hiding his actions in the forest because he didn’t want her to see them.
