He didn’t look back
Steven didn’t seem to have turned around at all when he walked through the forest. Jessica was able to tell from his body language that her husband felt completely at ease among the trees.
She even heard him loudly whistling on one occasion. Steven was a whistler? She didn’t know! Jessica was confident she could easily follow Steven without being detected.
