Steven had changed
Jessica couldn’t figure out what was going on. He might not have been happy that Jessica had followed his path through the forest.
Steven began to speak less to Jessica and Jessica felt that he avoided her even when they were together. He helped her when she had difficulties because of the pregnancy but sometimes that was all they talked about.
