Joe had already spent $350 on the bid, and he was prepared to take home the container when the bid topped $500. Joe refused to let go of the container despite the increased bidding. After he won he felt a mix of anxiety and happiness, as he had recently invested a significant amount of money and was unsure if the decision was right.
