Covering Macy’s tasks
Macy was helped by other station employees who took on some of her tasks. This made her life easier and gave her more time for Bella. Her compassion and dedication to Bella moved them. There was not much that they could do as the station was again understaffed.
Struggling
Macy still struggled despite the help of her colleagues. Bella struggled in the last weeks of her pregnancy. Macy took Bella to the veterinarian several times during her care. This only increased the stress.
