Soviet submarine K-77
Project 651 included the Soviet K-77 submarines (also known as Juliett-class subs). The cruise missile submarine was launched in 1965 by the Northern Fleet. In 1988, the Juliett-class subs were retired. However, this did not mean the K-77 was destroyed. In 2002 he starred in K-19: The Widowmaker alongside Harrison Ford and Liam Neeson.
After the film was made, the USS Saratoga Museum Foundation in Rhode Island took it to Rhode Island and turned it into a museum. It sank during a storm in April 2007. The following year they were able to salvage it, but it was in such a bad state that it needed to be destroyed.
