Puget Sound Shipyard
Puget Sound Naval Shipyard & Intermediate Maintenance Facility, a United States Navy Shipyard in Washington State. The shipyard has been operating since 1891, as part of the recycling program for ships and submarines. Currently, it houses four decommissioned aircraft carrier, a sub-tender, and 16 nuclear subs that are awaiting scrapping.
The shipyard has a fleet of reserve ships in case the Navy requires them. This is the only shipyard certified in the country to recycle nuclear vessels. Since 1990, it has scrapped cruise ships and over 125 submarines.
