INS Kursura
The fifth sub of the Indian Navy is none other than INS Kursura. The submarine traveled the globe for 31 years, covering a distance greater than the circumference of the Earth. The submarine served in the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971, took part in naval exercises and was a peace messenger.
In 2001, it was decommissioned to become a museum in Visakhapatnam. The museum is a “must-see” destination in the region because its originality hasn’t been lost despite time. The government took action after the 2014 Cyclone Hudhud almost caused it to flood.
