U-475 Black Widow (or Foxtrot B-39)
This massive sub attack was carried out by a Soviet Navy vessel during the Cold War. The ship was used for training Cuban, Indian and Libyan submersibles. The ship, which was commissioned in 1967, was classified as a Project 641 class Soviet submarine, but was called the Foxtrot by Western forces.
After decommissioning in 1994, the ship was sold to private owners and later to a museum in England. It was displayed at Folkestone four years later. The boat is currently awaiting restoration on the River Medway near Strood in England.
