The Big Reality Check
“I put him in a lose/lose situation. He can’t possibly win. He can’t win. “If he works later, his wife will be nagging him for attention when he gets home,” she wrote on her blog.
I am selfish in my marriage, and I know it. Every once in awhile, I have an ‘Aha’ moment which gives me a better understanding. Jonna had a major ‘Aha’ moment one day that was a huge reality check.
Another Day Late
David failed to keep his promise of coming home by a certain hour on a typical Wednesday. Jonna put his dinner into the refrigerator and slammed her door. She told herself that she would tell David what she thought the minute he entered the room.
She folded the laundry to calm down. The dryer cycle had just finished. She folded the laundry, thinking, “Why doesn’t he want to spend time with his daughter or me?” She looked at David’s clothing and her heart stopped.
