A Strange Suggestion
He said, with confidence, “Let us open up the grave.” Gabby was shocked by the idea. How could anyone have the audacity dig up someone’s grave in this manner? Isn’t this a violation of any laws? She felt that this was the only option for them. She turned to the officer who was silent since they arrived at their destination.
The Shuffle
The other officer let out a deep sigh, and nodded to indicate that he had understood. He said, “I will get the shuffles,” then did so. Gabby was completely shocked by what they were going to do. Her heart began to beat fast as soon as the second cop returned with two shuffles. She breathed out a sigh when she realized they hadn’t anticipated her digging beside them. She would then keep an eye instead on the dog.
