60. The Crack
The eggs were trembling as if there had been an earthquake. They were a lot more twitching than the day Jack discovered them. Mary and Giselle kneeled down by the eggs that had been shaking so violently, they had dislodged tarps above them. The family was waiting with baited breath for something to hatch.
After waiting a few moments, a large crack appeared on one of the eggs’ shells.
Jack and Bonnie, frozen in their place, watched as the kids got closer.
61. More Cracks
The family was tense as more and cracks appeared in the eggs. Jack was aware that the process would take some time but he also understood that these were not chickens.
Who knew, since they weren’t something he was familiar with?
Perhaps baby dragons will jump out of the eggs, blowing tiny jets through their mouths while flapping their scaly wing. It wasn’t a big deal, considering the way the farm was going.
