36. The Plan
He said, “The harvest has been lost.” “I don’t know what caused this or what the noises were we heard in the morning, but I believe they are all connected.” His children watched him with wide-eyed. His kids agreed with him.
Jack replied, “But, we might still be able to save the eggs, if we are smart about it.” Saving the eggs was Jack’s only plan, and it brought up a new set of problems, but that was all he had.
The eggs must be worth something for him to recover his losses.
37. Losses So Far
Jack’s losses are estimated to be in the thousands. Who knows what else this day will bring? Jack’s farm was not in danger of closing, but it still cost him money he didn’t have. Nobody who owns a business will.
He was going to sue if this was an actual human. Jack laughed as he imagined himself in court in a suit.
What will it take to make things right?
