Danny felt his bond with the kitten grow as he drove. The kitten started to purr happily as they drove. It was as if the kitten sensed his care and attention. For a moment, the locals’ objections to him taking the cat away seemed to fade in the background. At the time, the only thing that mattered was to find a home for the kitten.
