Grateful
Dave and Malaya were so relieved that they could not hold back the tears of joy when they hugged their son. Carey was unaware that he’d caused panic, and looked up with innocent eyes at his parents. Dave, amidst tears and relief sighs, asked “Carey, Where were you?” Did you chase the garbage truck after it? “You scared us so much!” The toddler’s face was lit up by excitement as he attempted to explain his cute babble. “Truck! “Big truck!” He pointed at the driver of a garbage truck. “Carey is looking for a truck!”
Carey’s driver smiled and said “Your son loves garbage trucks.” I was surprised to find him following us. He seemed so happy to see us. Dave and Malaya, feeling mixed emotions at the time, decided to express their gratitude to their neighbors. Dave, with a voice full of sincerity, said “Thank you for your support and help.” “We appreciate it.”
