Spaced out
It was strange that the shepherd didn’t answer. He looked as though he’d slept. Dave couldn’t entice the dog to come to him or to pay attention to it. What could be the cause? Dave started looking for assistance to obtain it. He was desperate to leave as soon as possible. He tried to drag the dog out of the sewer but it refused. Dave was in a lot trouble. What else could Dave do? Will he need to call the police?
Dave called out to the dog, but it didn’t answer. The dog still refused to move. He tried coaxing it with treats. Dave began to become frustrated, and he worried that the dog might be injured. Dave approached the dog slowly and tried to pet it, but the animal retreated. Dave tried to pick up the dog gently, but it snapped and growled at him. Dave quickly ran away from the dog and began to brainstorm other ways to rescue it. Dave decided to lure the German Shepherd out of the sewer with food. He grabbed some food from his dog and put it on the floor, hoping that the German shepherd would be drawn to the food.
