Back in American soil
The plane landed, and the soldiers were brought to the airport lobby where their families awaited them. Jamie searched for his wife and child, but could not locate them. He was alone in a crowd of families who were reunited. Is their new “dad” keeping Jamie away from them?
Jamie thought they were just late. Rush hour was in full swing at that time. It’s totally understandable to be a little late. Stacy was often late, as she could be quite chaotic. He decided to leave the lobby, and wait in the parking area for them. When he reached the parking lot he was unpleasantly shocked to see them.
How to get out of a vehicle
Jamie noticed Stacy and Lauren waving goodbye to a pickup truck as it drove off. Jamie was not visible at first as they hurried to the lobby. He saw how much his wife’s appearance had changed when he looked at them. He barely recognized his wife, who looked very thin. What happened during his absence?
He was anxious about his return, as he had been away for so long. As he watched the approaching group, he felt a great sense of dread. He felt guilty for having left them so long. He was filled with fear as he waited for the news.
