They have arrived
Ben arrived at a driveway after a 30-minute ride. He was frightened but tried to hide it. He turned off the vehicle and told Jamie to stay in his car. Jamie frowned as he reached for the door handle. Ben had locked the door on the inside. What’s going on, Ben? !”
Jamie shouted angrily, “Let me out!” You better let me out in the next few seconds or …”
Ben replied agitatedly, “Or what?” You’re in my vehicle, and you have nowhere to go. You can threaten to me all you like, but I know you’re right. He waited for several minutes in the car before finally getting the text.
Finally going into
Jamie was able to hear the door clicking as the text said, “Unlocking your car now.” He slowly got out of the vehicle. He didn’t know what to make of the situation. He could only think of his wife and child being in the house with someone who he had never seen before. Jamie pushed the door slowly open.
“Lauren? “Lauren? He yelled. A small dog ran up to him, sniffing his feet. Jamie recognized the dog in the drawing that his daughter sent him from Iraq. He was sure he could not be wrong. It was the same dog as in the drawing. He knew he was in the right place. Where was his daughter, though? What was going on?
