He Found A Clue
Jonathan got up and walked to the place where he believed he had left his car. He quickly searched the parking lot, thinking he was mistaken. The car could not be towed. He had parked the car in this parking lot. This was perfectly acceptable. He found one clue when he returned to his original location.
The Glass Was Broken
Jonathan bent down to the ground and found a lot broken glass. He had missed some small pieces. It was now clear that the car had been damaged and stolen. Both the opportunity and the time were there. How was he supposed to return to the city when rain was approaching and the weather changed?
