Kate left the museum quickly, despite loud protests from the historian. She thought that she had escaped the ordeal and ultimatums at the museum when she returned home but she hadn’t.
The museum sent her more letters. The staff continued to call her every day.
She received letters from the museum a few days later. They urged her to return and sell the piedfort, as it was of historical importance. Kate ignored the letter, but she soon began receiving daily calls from museum staff pressing her to sell them the piedfort.
