It wasn’t the end! This Piedfort must have been used to commemorate the ascension to the French throne of Charles IV in 1322. It was therefore of great historical significance and worth a lot.
Kate’s brain was buzzing. She had been hiding a Piedfort dating back to 700 years in her drawer since she was a child, but she didn’t know its significance. She couldn’t figure out how all of the pieces had to come together to get this piece of history.
